Wedding Experience: Bridesmaid Dress Shopping
This photo is of the bridesmaid dresses at Anna-Be Bridal. On Saturday, three of my lovely bridesmaids (Amanda, Megann, and Brittany) went shopping for dresses. It was so much fun, and I will share more in few days. I have been trying to build an inspiration board on the Dessy Group website to share with all of my bridesmaids and blog readers, but it won't SAVE! It is driving me crazy, so I am done with wedding planning for the evening. Anna-be was brilliant. They make the bridesmaid and bride dress shopping experience chic and fun. More to come, I promise. Ciao.

Save the Date Inspiration
Top photo: It was not clear how this couple incorporated their very cute lettered with string board but inspiring nonetheless. Featured on the Green Wedding Shoes blog.
Bottom Photo: The outdoor backdrop and kissing couple and the envelope sticker is what I love about this save the date. Featured on Sincerely Yours Paper blog.
This was the first save the date postcard I came across and I knew immediately that's what we were going to do for our our save the date. Can't remember where I found this but I will post as soon as I find the blog.
So many incredible creative ways to ask you guests to save your special day on their calendar exist. A bride can do magnets, postcards, letterpress cards, video. I have even seen a stop motion video featured on the Green Wedding Shoes blog that was by far the most creative save the date I have come across. From my last post, 3 or 4 of my did-dos were related to save the dates. Yesterday, we had a fantastic photo shoot with Sharon Wharton, our new photographer-friend, at Chautauqua in Boulder. It was a beautiful, light-filled morning in Boulder. Anthony and I got to be goofy, running around in fresh snow with the Flatirons in the background. She will be delivering the photos today, and I cannot wait to create the save the dates! So my lovely friends, stay tuned. Ciao.
P.S. Today is the big bridesmaid dress shopping day! Stay tuned for fun musing from the day.

Did-do, to-do all the way to I do
I have officially 24 weeks to go until the big day! My how the time flies when you are in planning heaven. While I am tracking my progress in a boring ol’ spreadsheet, I thought I would post each week a sort of wedding to-do and did-do list. Being the planning type, I love that it is a creative double-check of my progress which means, at least I hope, that not too many details will get lost or forgotten. Oh the horror. So here it is, my planning progress to date:
Did-Do:
- Met with Alan Perry, my floral design team, to discuss the creative vision.
- Lost my Mac. Melt down. Found my Mac. Relief.
- Coordinated a save-the-date photo shoot with my photographer-friend Sharon Wharton.
- Conducted save-the-date inspiration research.
- Painted the prop for the save-the-date.
- Decided on a font for the save-the-date and laid out the type setting.
- Gathered contact info from my guests.
- Coordinated dress appointments for my lovely bridesmaids.
- Set up my wedding work station/office.
- Selected Andy Mendoza as my hair stylist.
To-Do (This is list is long so I am sharing the highest priority items):
- Mail Save-The-Dates.
- Sit down with Ed to update him and to discuss the proverbial budget.
- Order materials for invitations.
- Finalize the bridesmaid dresses.

Introducing Shamane's Bake Shoppe
I am thrilled to introduce the very lovely Shamane of Shamane's Bake Shoppe as the latest addition to our wedding team. To be honest, the cake was the least of my concerns - until I tried the champagne toast, the chocolate-chocolate, the Italian Creme, and the vanilla bean with fresh fruit! Ummmmm....heaven and delightful come to mind. As you can see from the photo, not much cake is left from our tasting. So now I REALLY care, because after tasting how fabulous Shamane's baking is, I would be crazy to dismiss such an important part of the wedding. After thinking about it, the one thing I NEVER miss at weddings is the cake. And I usually have two pieces :) Ciao.
