Yellow Love

Last week one of my new favorite blogs Twig & Thistle wrote a post called Color Crush: Yellow.  With Yellow being one of my colors for the wedding, I was pleased to read that the recent Altitude Design Conference was full of Yellow hues.  The conference looks amazing.  Back to Yellow + wedding.  This weekend so far has been insanely busy for me.  Yesterday, I attended Unveiled: 5280s First Bridal Show and then I spent the afternoon at Bridalize.   As I entered the west entrance of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for the bridal show, directly in front of me was a styled table by the Perfect Petal with my color palette - Yellow + Gray.  I talked at length with the wedding director, Crystal Oleskevich about 2010s Yellow + Gray color trend.  Needless to say - Yellow is IN and not for just weddings but for fashion and decor.  More about Unveiled and the Perfect Petal in blog posts to come as well as commentary from the Boulder Bridal Show, which is today, and Bridalize who joined the Anthony + Natalie Wedding team this week!  So much to write about.  Stay tuned. Ciao.

Wedding Make Up

I wanted to share this photo of the final product from my bridal consultation with Jessica Shinyeda. I love the "smokey eye" look. She is going to provide me with a product list which I will share when I receive it. I do know that I am wearing Stila Long Wear Lip Color - Exquisite. Ciao.

Introducing My Beauty Director: Jessica Shinyeda of The Face Lab

I am tickled to introduce you to my beauty director - my official title for her - Jessica Shinyeda of the Face Lab. I had my first bridal consultation with her this morning. Her adorable Great Dane, Sugar, gently greeted me at the door of her cute home off of Pearl Street. I instantly felt at ease with Jessica as I sat in a director's chair with "The Face Lab" embroidered on the back rest, and she launched into questions to learn more about my beauty and make up philosophy. I don't wear a lot of make up, but I know my brands, what I like to wear, and I am not afraid to play up my eyes. I had so much fun chatting with Jessica while she made up my face, and it turns out that we have a lot in common, too. Love of dogs, Italian significant others who are both restaurateurs, Boulder, and experience with long distance relationships- just to name a few. Stay tuned for a post of photos of the make up she did for me today. Ciao.

Color Palette: We love lovely grays and yellows

Our color palette has been finalized! Let me know what you think. I love the gray - so modern - and the yellow is bright, summery, and happy. What more could you ask for to set the mood of your wedding. Anthony and I are laid back yet passionate about anything that captures our brain spaces. We love life, talk to each other and our dog is silly voices, and feel uber lucky and grateful to do what we do and live where live. We think this color palette will be the perfect backdrop to share the story of our relationship and love on our wedding day with our guests. Ciao.

What Natalie Loves! Pretty Wedding Shoes!

Could these Christian Louboutin Bridal Shoes be more perfect for a wedding. They are from 2009 and most likely unavailable, but they offer wonderful inspiration for when I start my shoe search. I am thinking blue or bright yellow or maybe tangerine. Possibly I could coordinate with the color palette I chose which is still underway. This is going to be so much fun!

How to incorporate your pet into your big day

ACP and I are crazy about our Beefy Smith. It literally borderlines on obsession. I have been brainstorming fun ways to incorporate him into our big day without our fiesty fido actually walking down the aisle. And then I found this cake topper of two Jack Russell Terries kissing! Isn't it fantastic. I am not sure if we would use it but I am going to order it anyway. It is so darn cute.

Introducing Our Photographer: Otto Schulze

Choosing a photographer for our wedding was my top priority. I was thrilled to discover in my wedding research that Colorado has so many talented photographers, but one photographer in particular captured my heart and my imagination. Otto Schulze. I would like to brag a little as the shot I have featured in this blog post made the "it list" by Lara Casey of Southern Weddings. His images are beautiful and we are truly lucky to have found Otto.

We're engaged!

Anthony asked me to marry him on December 18th, 2009! I said YES! In the two weeks since he popped the question, I have been on a wedding planning binge. Sadly, I must return to work tomorrow and make the transition from engagement, bride-to-be bliss to work mode reality, at least during normal work hours. We have so very much to share about our plans thus far. I just have to figure out how to fit in writing about our wedding, etc., with work, life, and wedding planning. So save the date and stay tuned. August 14th, 2010 is only seven months away!
